Dylan Thomas Day

Petroc Trelawny presents Radio 3's classical Breakfast show, marking the Dylan Thomas centenary, plus listener requests and the Best of British Playlist.

BBC Radio 3 marks the centenary of Dylan Thomas's birth with a day of poetry hosted by Ian McMillan, who is Petroc Trelawny's guest on Breakfast on 3. Ian will remain on the network throughout the day introducing some of the poems that made Dylan Thomas an international celebrity by the time he was 30, adding commentary and context to the readings. Poems in Breakfast on 3 will include 'And Death Shall Have No Dominion', read by Thomas himself.

Petroc Trelawny presents Radio 3's classical Breakfast show, featuring the Best of British music Playlist, compiled from listener requests. Also, including your requests for works by neglected composers, amateur music-making groups and wake-up calls.
