As part of the Strauss's Voice Festival, the Manchester Camerata is joined by Ruby Hughes in a selection of Richard Strauss songs for smaller orchestra. There's also a performance of Mozart's Piano Concerto No.25, featuring Liverpool-born soloist Paul Lewis; and in the second half of the concert, Beethoven's "Eroica" Symphony - perhaps the first expression of heroic aspiration in music.
