With Simple Minds

Liz chats to Jim Kerr, frontman of Simple Minds, following the release of their new album Celebrate: The Greatest Hits.

Liz chats to Jim Kerr, frontman of Simple Minds, who have just released a new album Celebrate - The Greatest Hits+. The album looks at their 35 year career to date. They began as an art-rock band at the end of the 70's and the influence of their early work is still felt today with acts such as the Manic Street Preachers, Primal Scream, Moby and The Horrors. After recording Don't You Forget About Me for The Breakfast Club soundtrack they enjoyed huge success as a global stadium rock band. In recent years they have played homage to their early work with tours and an album.

Liz also gives listeners the chance to show-off their musical knowledge with themed tune suggestions, and chats to a listener about their favourite album in All Killer No Filler, which this week features The Blue Nile.
