A guilty Tanya plans a surprise for Cora to make up for the previous day's disastrous meal, only to uncover a shocking secret that her mum has kept from her all her life.

Lauren advises Tanya to replace Cora’s lost bracelet. They search Cora’s things to find a photo. Cora agrees to take things slowly with Patrick. Tanya’s shocked by a paper she comes across. Later, Cora finds her things disturbed and confronts Poppy, who reveals Tanya borrowed her keys. Cora rails at Tanya for going through her belongings. She’s floored when Tanya brandishes a birth certificate for Ava Anderton - a sister Tanya never knew. Cora walks out without a word.

Masood tells Syed he has an interview as a primary school teaching assistant but hasn’t told Zainab. Syed’s stressed that his Olympic stock hasn’t arrived. Zainab announces she wants an extravagant wedding and wants to run the restaurant properly with Masood. Masood nearly tells Zainab the truth but bottles it. Tamwar plans to go to college and gives the Argee Bhajee to Zainab and Masood.

Lola avoids holding Lexi and agrees to a photo-shoot at McKlunky’s for the Gazette. Billy deliberately leaves Lola with Lexi as she cries. Lola smiles as she comforts Lexi.

Derek insinuates his money bought Lucy. Joey refuses Alice’s offer of lunch. Alice pleads Lauren’s help. Joey arrives at Lauren’s to find Alice waiting with Derek. Joey and Derek work together to help Alice prepare lunch but soon descend into an argument.

Tanya suggests an autumn wedding. Max wants to wait until Abi’s back to make plans. Jack smugly emerges from his flat with two air hostesses. Derek overhears Max and Jack discussing money. Derek insists Max should have come to him. Max doesn’t want to be in debt to Derek and asks for an address.

Kim mocks Zainab and Denise for their non-existent sex lives. Zainab insists she’s waiting until she’s married. Denise thinks Zainab chased AJ away.

Lauren signs herself, Whitney and Lucy up to a ‘Gigging Something Back’ scheme.
