Almost two centuries after Haydn celebrated God's glorious work in The Creation, Stan Tracey - known to his fans as the Godfather of British Jazz - also went back to the beginning, brilliantly . The former Ted Heath Orchestra member and longtime resident pianist at Ronnie Scott's brings his 1987 ode to creation to the BBC Proms for the first time.
