BBC Concert Orchestra

A focus on the BBC Concert Orchestra. Including works by Chagrin, Phillips, Beethoven and Haydn String Quartets.

Jonathan Swain throws the spotlight onto the BBC's performing groups, who provide the backbone of every year's Proms performances including on the first and last nights. Also the complete cycle of Haydn's mature String Quartets draws to a close with his Op 76 and Op 77 sets. The Haydn expert is the Lindsay Quartet's Peter Cropper.
