Boyz n the Hood

Urban drama. Three childhood friends in a tough South Central LA neighbourhood struggle to make sense of the gang violence that surrounds them.

Thought-provoking urban drama set in South Central Los Angeles, following three childhood friends as they struggle to make sense of their violent surroundings.

In 1984, ten-year-old Tre's mother decides it would be in his best interest to move in with his father, after he was involved in a fight at school. In his dad's tough South Central neighbourhood he reunites with childhood friends Ricky and Doughboy. Seven years on, with his strict father's guidance he has managed to stay clear of drugs and violence. But as gang violence begin to invade his neighbourhood, it becomes almost impossible for him and his friends to avoid being dragged under.
