Puzzle for Today

Puzzle No. 484 – Tuesday 20 May

A story broke last week where a bus shelter was built on a road in South Yorkshire with no bus service. 12 people join the queue each hour, but half of new joiners leave quickly. Those remaining are really patient and stay for the day. How many would a non-existent bus need to hold to take the passengers after 8 hours?

Today’s #PuzzleForToday has been set by Dr Shaun Fitzgerald, Director of The Royal Institution
