How to Book

There is a Prom for every music-lover, whether you’re a first-timer or seasoned regular. Seated tickets for all BBC Proms concerts at the Royal Albert Hall fall into one of eight price bands. Advance seats start at just £7.50 (plus booking fee).

Create your Proms Plan online
Fill in your Proms planner via the Royal Albert hall website (Must be completed by 11.59pm on Friday 10 May)

Book your passes
Book your Season and Weekend Promming Passes for the Royal Albert Hall or Proms at … Cadogan Hall Series Passes. (These Passes are not included in the Proms Planner)

10 May: CBeebies, Relaxed and The Lost Words Proms
From 9.00am on Friday 10 May, book your tickets for the CBeebies Proms (Proms 3 & 5), the Relaxed Prom (Prom 24) and The Lost Words (Prom 49), including a limited number of Promming tickets. (These Proms are not included in the Proms Planner)

11 May: General booking opens
From 9.00am on Saturday 11 May, submit your Proms Planner or book online, in person or by phone

14 June: Book your Proms at … tickets and Proms Learning events
From 9.00am on Friday 14 June, book your tickets for Proms at … Battersea Arts Centre and Proms at … Holy Sepulchre London. Booking for the Proms Inspire Day (13 August), Proms Family Workshop (25 August) and Proms Family Orchestra & Chorus (26 August) opens at 10.00am

Between Wednesday 17 April and Friday 10 May (11.59pm) use the Proms Planner to create your personal Proms Plan.

From 9.00am on Saturday 11 May you can redeem your Proms Plan and submit your booking.

If you do not have a Proms Plan, you can just book online at royalalberthall.com.

The ‘Select Your Own Seat’ option is not available via the Proms Planner or during the first few days that Proms tickets are on sale. You will be allocated the best available places within your chosen seating area.

It is not possible to book entire boxes online. If you would like to book a complete box, call the Box Office on 020 7070 4441*.

Please write to BBC Proms, Box Office, Royal Albert Hall, London SW7 2AP with the following details:

  • your name, address, phone number(s) and email address (if applicable)
  • the concerts you wish to attend
  • number of tickets required
  • preferred seating area, ideally with alternatives (see ticket prices and seating plan).
  • applicable discounts
  • a cheque, payable to ‘Royal Albert Hall’ and made out for the maximum amount (including booking fees); or your credit card details, including type of card, name on the card, card number, issue number (Maestro only), start date, expiry date and security code (last three digits on back of Visa/Mastercard or last four digits on front of American Express). Your details will be held securely.

General postal bookings will start to be processed from 9.00am on Saturday 11 May.

Postal bookings for Season and Weekend Promming Passes and for Proms at … Cadogan Hall Passes must be made separately to other booking requests. Mark your envelope ‘Proms Season Pass’, ‘Weekend Promming Pass’ or ‘Proms at … Cadogan Hall Pass’ as appropriate. These bookings will be processed from 9.00am on Thursday 9 May.

Following the start of booking, all postal applications are processed in random order, not the order in which they are received.

Don't give up! Prom on the day for £6.00!

There are up to 1,350 Promming tickets (standing in the Arena or Gallery areas) released on the day of each Royal Albert Hall performance. Either go online and book some of a limited allocation on the morning of the performance (from 9.00am) or join the traditional Promming Queues at the Royal Albert Hall.

Check for returned tickets

Keep checking the Royal Albert Hall website as returns often become available. Unfortunately we can’t run a waiting list but follow @bbcproms and @royalalberthall on Twitter and Facebook for the latest updates.

Unwanted tickets for all Proms that have been purchased through the Royal Albert Hall Box Office may be exchanged for tickets to other Proms concerts (subject to availability). A fee of £1.00 per ticket will be charged for this service. Call the Royal Albert Hall Box Office (020 7070 4441*) for further details.
