Radio 1's Big Weekend rolls into Hull for two days of music on 27 - 28 May 2017.

The likes of Katy Perry, Lana Del Rey, Kings Of Leon and Little Mix will be performing at what promises to be one of the most exciting Big Weekends yet.

Stormzy, 2016

Stormzy tore up the In New Music We Trust stage in 2016 and after the 2017 he's had, he returns this year for a Main Stage slot.

Madonna, 2008

It has been nine years since Madonna headlined Radio 1's Big Weekend in Maidstone.

Katy Perry, 2014

Katy Perry returns to headline Big Weekend in 2017, having previously brought the house (well, Main Stage) down when she performed in 2014.

Calvin Harris, 2009

An almost unrecognisable Calvin Harris performed at Big Weekend in 2009, before he started working with the world's biggest stars and still sung all his own vocals.

Ed Sheeran, 2014

Ed Sheeran performed at Big Weekend in 2012 and 2014 and he has only become more famous and more successful in the years since.

Jay Z, 2012

Coldplay, 2014

Adele, 2008

Lorde graced the In New Music We Trust stage in 2014 and in 2017 makes her Main Stage debut ahead of the release of her second album, Melodrama.

Foo Fighters, 2011

At the top of their game for more than a decade now, Foo Fighters first headlined Big Weekend in 2005 before returning in 2011 and 2015.

Bruno Mars, 2013

Bruno Mars opened the Sunday of Big Weekend in 2011 but returned just two years later to headline in Derry.

Nicki Minaj, 2012

The 1975, 2016

2016 was a huge year for The 1975 and as well as their special performance with the BBC Philharmonic, they also performed for Radio 1 in Exeter.

Biffy Clyro, 2010
