Dua Lipa's New Rules was voted Best Single
The first glory of the day goes to Dua Lipa, who wins best single for her colossal hit New Rules. Accepting her prize from Jack Whitehall (who termed it "the world's heaviest award" - feel the quality, Jack!) and Ella Eyre, who couldn't help dancing along to the clip of the winning track, Dua made sure to thank all her fans who voted for her. And some of those fans were quite excited...
Ed Sheeran won Best British Solo Artist
Little trouper Ed sent his thanks - and apologies for not helping Rita out on Your Song - via video link - he's currently recovering after breaking his wrist, elbow and rib in a nasty bike accident. Get well soon, Ed! 🤕
Love Island was crowned Best TV Show
The reality show that stole the summer saw off tough competition from Stranger Things, Game of Thrones, Doctor Who and Planet Earth II. Seems none of you could tear your eyes away from Marcel, Kem, Amber and the gang's fun in the sun.

Currently storming the UK with their Glory Days Tour, Little Mix sent their thanks from backstage.
Ariana Grande won Best International Solo Artist
Cat-eared heroine Ariana proved herself a formidable character as well as a true star this year.
Sir Mo Farah won the award for Best British Sports Star
He may have taken gold in the 10,000 metres at the World Championships in London this year, but I think we all know which award Mo is really most excited about.
The award for Best Game went to Mario Kart 8 Deluxe
Nintendo's veteran classic got a sparkling overhaul that saw off Fifa 17, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, Forza Horizon 3 and Pokémon Sun and Moon.
Chainsmokers were Best International Group
DJ duo Andrew Taggart and Alex Pall dominated the year with their pop-EDM crossover tracks, and Radio 1 listeners voted with their beats.
