Disabled Access Information

BBC Radio 6 Music Festival is a city based festival which takes place in 5 venues in Bristol. Please be aware that each venue has varied levels of disabled facilities and accessibility.

Below is disabled access information and links to individual venues if further information is required on their disabled access information.

Motion:

Entrance will be through the Marble Factory entrance which will be marked disabled entrance.

There are 2 accessible toilets available at the venue. There are no viewing platforms but there will be allocated accessible viewing areas where possible for disabled access customers.

Currently does not provide Hearing Loop induction.

Street parking only for blue badge holders.

Basement 45:

Entrance will be through disabled access entrance which will be marked disabled entrance.

There is no accessible toilet within the venue but a portable accessible flushing toilet will be outside the venue for disabled access customers requiring it. A ramp has been built to aid access in Basement 45.

There are no viewing platforms but we may be able to arrange an accessible viewing area where possible for disabled access customers.

Currently does not provide Hearing Loop induction.

DISABLED ACCESS SCHEME 2016:

BBC 6 Music and its venue partners are pleased to operate a 2 4 1 PA/Carer ticket scheme for disabled access customers.

If you require access to disabled access facilities and/or wish to apply for a free PA/Carer ticket in order to have assistance at the festival please purchase a standard event ticket and complete and submit this form alongside your supporting evidence documentation.

We will process each application within 48 hours.

Documentation:

All applications require supporting documentation as evidence of disabled access requirements. This is mandatory in order for applications to be processed. This information helps us plan to best meet your access requirements.

Please include one of the following with your completed form;

  • DLA/PIP letter or equivalent
  • Medical professional’s letter
  • Blue Badge –Not sufficient if applying for a PA/Carer ticket but adequate for parking only requests
  • D/deaf or blind registration
  • The Access Card or equivalent

Please submit your documentation with application form in order for this to be processed. All documentation is kept secure and destroyed securely after processing.

Application Deadline

All supporting evidence must be submitted before the application deadline at 6pm on 11th February 2016. If nothing is received within this time then the application will be cancelled.
