From volunteering dogs to being the designated driver at slap up tea parties... From having lollipops and flip flops on hand for drunken revelers to knitting while running marathons... As the BBC regions have been finding out there are a huge number of ways to do something great.

First up, three very different volunteers, for three very different charities - Alzheimer's Research, Cascade Creative Recovery and the National Trust - reveal what they get out of the experience to South East Today.
