Chris Evans Breakfast Show Auction Packages for BBC Children in Need 2016

You may have heard Chris Evans auction off the amazing Dine & Disco experience in his Breakfast Show during Appeal Week 2016.
Well this weekend, the lucky winning bidders and winners of the text competition are finally attending this all-star event.

Based at the five-star luxury CHEWTON GLEN HOTEL & SPA in the New Forest, the guests will be taking part in a variety of country pursuits from archery to duck herding, with the winning team invited to appear on Chris’s Breakfast Show later in the year.
On Saturday night, guests will be sampling food from top name chefs TOM KERRIDGE, JOSÉ PIZARRO, ATUL KOCHHAR, LUKE MATTHEWS and MO GHERRAS and wines chosen by OLLY SMITH.

Later that evening there will be a DJ Set by CHRIS and Radio 2’s very own JUMPING JIMMY FLASH, whilst they countdown to the evening’s musical acts – to kick this off will be TEXAS and headlining will be the legendary JEFF LYNNE’S ELO.
What a night!

Thanks to everyone who took part in the auction and text competition – altogether it raised a whopping £1,709,263 for BBC Children in Need which will go towards changing the lives of disadvantaged children and young people across the UK.

BBC Children in Need Appeal Show 2016

The BBC Children in Need Appeal Show is back with a stellar line-up of presenters. Tess Daly, Graham Norton, Greg James, Ade Adepitan, Rochelle and Marvin Humes will guide viewers through a night of dazzling entertainment to raise millions of pounds for BBC Children in Need.

Tess Daly and Greg James open the show with sketches, performances and treats from some of the nation’s most loved stars. Graham Norton and Ade Adepitan present the central part of the night with Marvin and Rochelle closing the show and revealing the final total.

Along the way, appeal films will feature some of the disadvantaged children and young people whose lives have been changed through the support of BBC Children in Need, and the volunteers who work tirelessly to help them.

Eastenders, Would I Lied To You and more

We are delighted to confirm that The EastEnders cast will be returning with an extravaganza which is sure to take many people’s breath away. Watch out for Danny Dyer channeling Top Gun!

Rob Brydon is back in the host’s chair for a very special Children in Need junior edition of Would I Lie To You? David Mitchell and Lee Mack are the team captains but, for this mini-episode only, their special guests are children, some of whom will be making incredible-sounding claims, whilst the others help their captains challenge the opposing teams.

Over 1,500 children across 10 different UK locations will be coming together to sing in unison for Pudsey in the Children’s Choir that will perform live on the night.

The BBC Children in Need Appeal Show is known for its performances from the music industry’s most loved artists, and this year is no different. Superstar Michael Buble has recorded a very special performance for Children in Need, pop princesses Little Mix will be taking to the stage in an electric show-stopper and this year’s West End musical special comes from the incredible cast of Disney's Aladdin.

An exclusive Fantastic Beasts sketch

Look out for a special sketch featuring Eddie Redmayne on this year's show- the sketch was recorded on the set of Eddie’s new film, Fantastic Beasts And Where To Find Them and will see the much loved actor doing his bit to raise money for Children in Need. It will feature other special cameos from the world of showbiz and will air on our Appeal Show on Friday 18th November, 7.30pm on BBC One.

"Growing up, I loved watching all the special sketches and performances, and of course, Sir Terry Wogan’s inimitable presenting. It is a charity very close to my heart so you can only imagine how chuffed I was to be asked to do a special sketch for this year. I can’t wait for you all to see what we have in store.”

Team GB join the stars of Strictly Come Dancing

Team GB Olympic medallists Helen Glover MBE, Hollie Webb, Joe Clarke and Lutalo Muhammad are to do their bit for BBC Children in Need 2016 as they join the stars of Strictly Come Dancing for the annual Appeal Night.

Announced on Tuesday 25th October on BBC Two’s Strictly Come Dancing: It Takes Two show, the Olympic stars will join Strictly Come Dancing professional dancers Janette Manrara, Karen Clifton, Pasha Kovalev and new professional dancer and World Champion, Neil Jones.
Helen Glover will dance with Pasha Kovalev, Hollie Webb will dance with Neil Jones, Joe Clarke will dance with Janette Manrara and Lutalo Muhammad will dance with Karen Clifton.

Presented by Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman the special show will feature as part of the Children in Need 2016 Appeal Night on BBC One.

Doctor Who Christmas special preview

We are excited to announce that our appeal show this year will play host to an exclusive clip from this year’s Doctor Who Christmas.

The sneak peek will see the Doctor, played by Peter Capaldi and Nardole, played by Matt Lucas, team up with an investigative reporter played by Charity Wakefield and a masked vigilante played by Justin Chatwin to defend New York from a terrifying alien invasion before the full episode, ‘The Return of Doctor Mysterio’, airs at Christmas.

Written by Steven Moffat, they will be joined by Adetomiwa Edun, Aleksandar Jovanovic and Logan Hoffman.

Make sure you in tune to watch on the big night, Friday 18th at 7pm on BBC One.

Ricky Gervais is to take part in this year’s BBC Children in Need Appeal Show as David Brent.

Ricky Gervais will perform the title track from the film David Brent: Life on the Road which was released earlier this year and was written, directed, produced by and starred Ricky.
