St Dominic's Timetable
There are sixteen periods of twenty minutes each in the school
timetable. One of our Citizenship class students has given us an
insight into how the timetable works and what subjects they cover
over the school week.
In the summer term the class were learning all about weather.
The students in year 8 have approximately one hour of history per
week. Often the periods will be double periods (forty minutes),
or a treble period (one hour).
This is a display of castles made by the students when they were
studying the Normans and the history of Ireland.
This is the drama room and as you can see they have a wide variety
of costumes. They enact various plays, acts and adverts.
Our student reporter has mixed feelings about this period, "I
wouldn't say it was my favourite subject!".
The School Bistro
The students begin classes at 9am.
They have a break in the morning from 10.20 - 10.35 and their lunch
break is from 12.35 - 1.20.
Technology and Design
This is the technology and design room. Among the projects they
have undertaken are making Greetings Cards that light up and making
a Steady Hand Circuit.
