Manchester welcomes the Rio 2016 Olympic and Paralympic heroes with a massive victory parade
Great Britain's Rio 2016 Olympic and Paralympic heroes were welcomed home with a massive victory parade in Manchester on Monday 17th October 2016. More than 150,000 people braved the rain to line the parade route waving flags and signs.

The stars took an open-top bus through the centre of Manchester to celebrate their record-breaking performances at Rio 2016. At the end the athletes walked out onto the stage in Albert Square.
