One of Britain's top free museums has revealed plans to start charging families.

The Science Museum in London says it will ask visitors to pay money to enter its new gallery Wonderlab when it opens in October.

Wonderlab will replace Launchpad, which was one of its most popular, interactive galleries, and which had been free to enter.

National museums in England, Wales and Scotland are free to enter, but can charge for some special exhibitions and experiences.
