A 57-hour five-a-side football game for Sport Relief is into its second day in Salford.

The match is taking place between two teams from BBC radio 5 live and Match of the Day, at MediaCityUK.

It started on Thursday at 09:15am and ends on Saturday at 18:15pm.

All-time Premier League top goal scorer Shearer is captaining the Match of the Day team while ex-Wales player Robbie Savage leads the 5 live team.

About 1,000 people will play 30 minutes alongside Savage and Shearer.

The 57-hour time of the epic match has been chosen because it is the equivalent of a Premier League club's entire season.
