Three zebras have gone on the run in Brussels, Belgium.

The stripy trio trotted through the streets after escaping from a local ranch, but they were soon captured after a police chase.

Bernard Luyckx, a friend of the zebras' owner, said the animals might have been upset after their friends were sold.

He said: "Some of the horses got sold and the other zebras got mad and trampled the gates and fled into the streets."

Nobody was injured by the fleeing zebras.
