Heavy snowfalls bring Jordan to a standstill

Look at the heavy snowfall in the desert kingdom of Jordan, a small country in the Middle East, that rarely sees any freezing temperatures .

The capital of Amman, came to a temporary standstill.

The streets quickly grew empty and the few cars that were on the road , soon got stuck in the drifts.

Heavy rainfall, freezing temperatures and thunderstorms are forecast to last up to three days.
