Today marks 750 years since the first English Parliament at Westminster, London.

Newsround viewers Ayah and Sarah have been to Westminster to find out what's being done to get more women running the country.

The UK is run by Parliament and it currently has 650 members known as MPs.

But at the moment there are many more men than women in the top jobs with 502 male MPs compared to only 148 female MPs.
