Mr and Mrs Betts said that only a few sections have been put together so far, but they're thinking of turning it into a working waterslide again next summer. Little Oscar "loves it" already.

Mrs Betts said: "We'll use it as a slide, with sacks to make it a bit more slippery, and in the summer we can maybe use a paddling pool and pump to get some water running through."

Welcome to the Betts family's garden, the place to find the coolest attraction in Stonham Aspal (in Suffolk) - a gigantic garden waterslide!

The 40m long water flume used to belong to Bury St Edmunds Leisure Centre until the summer, when it had undergone so many repairs that the council finally decided to sell it off, for the bargain price of £50.

She added: "We're not sure how just yet, but we want to install a ladder and make it higher." We've got our goggles and swimming costumes ready at Newsround HQ... can we come and visit?
