Formula 1 'suits me well' says 16 year-old Max Verstappen

Sixteen-year-old Max Verstappen will become the youngest Formula 1 driver in history after Toro Rosso confirmed he will join them next season.

Verstappen, who is 17 next month, currently competes in Formula Three.

The Dutchman, whose father Jos is a former Formula 1 driver, will replace Frenchman Jean-Eric Vergne.

"Ever since I was seven years old, Formula 1 has been my career goal, so this opportunity is truly a dream come true," said Verstappen.
