The Billboard Music Awards took place yesterday at the MGM arena in Las Vegas. Here's a look at some of the highlights.
The Billboard Music Awards took place on Sunday night at the MGM arena in Las Vegas in America. A star-studded line-up was on show including Katy Perry, Robin Thicke and many more. Pitbull got the awards started with a performance with Jennifer Lopez and Claudia Leitte singing the 2014 Fifa World Cup song, We Are One (Ole Ola).
Some of the other artists that picked up awards were Robin Thicke (above) who performed his new song Get Her Back; plus Pharrell Williams, Miley Cyrus and Imagine Dragons.
Ludacris the rapper was the host of the show and proved a popular choice with a smooth performance.
Justin Timberlake was the most successful artist on the night, winning seven awards. As he's on tour Justin couldn't be there but he streamed a live chat to thank his fans.
Katy Perry won top female artist thanking the fans on a pre-recorded message. As she's on tour in Scotland, she performed over a live link an hour before the win was announced.
There was a special hologram performance from the late Michael Jackson which stole the show, accompanied by dancers, beaming lights and blasts of fire.
