Second massive snow storm hits north-east US

The second wave of a massive snow storm has hit the north-east coast in the US leaving homes without power.

We don't think these cars are going anywhere fast. The weather has caused massive disruption and thousands of homes are without power.

This woman bravely battles through the snow in Manhattan which is piled up taller than her. New York has been hit with an extra 20 cm of snow in the past day and Washington got a whopping 38 centimetres.

The federal government closed its offices in the Washington area so workers didn't have to risk a dangerous journey to work. Schools were closed too.

More than 7,000 flights were cancelled over two days because of the weather.
