Talking cars could stop accidents

Talking cars could soon take to the roads in a bid to reduce the number of accidents.

The government in the United States wants to cut the number of road deaths each year.

They're working on technology that lets cars warn each another if they're in danger of colliding.

A radio signal constantly broadcasts the car's position, direction and speed to other vehicles.

The systems may even be able to brake automatically to avoid a crash.
