A 1.8-metre high model of the Rubber Duck inflatable floating sculpture by Dutch artist Florentijn Hofman is pictured in a factory where the sculpture is being constructed. Measuring 18 metres in height and weighing 1000 kg when completed, it will be displayed in Kaohsiung port, southern Taiwan.

Made up of 2,020 candles, this illuminated display outside a temple in Zojojj, Tokyo, was created in support of the cities bid to host the 2020 Olympic Games. The International Olympic Committee (IOC) will decide the host city of the 2020 Olympic and Paralympic Games at a meeting in Buenos Aires in Argentina this Saturday 7th September.
