The Perseid Meteor Shower is lighting up the night skies at the moment.

It takes place every year when earth moves into the path of debris from comets. They burn up as they enter the atmosphere causing hundreds of shooting stars.

People across the UK stayed up late to see it all happen, and it's expected to continue all week.
