The schoolgirl who quizzed the Queen on the royal baby has told Newsround the question came from her and no one else.
10-year-old Fay hit the headlines on Wednesday when she asked the Queen during her visit to Cumbria if she wanted the baby to be a boy or a girl.
Her Majesty replied: "I don't think I mind. I would very much like it to arrive. I'm going on holiday."
Fay said: "Everyone's so excited about Kate and William's baby, I thought it would be a good question to ask."
What did she think about the Queen's answer? "I thought that was very sensible, because she wants to meet her great-grandchild before she goes on holiday".
Fay added: "I was really, really pleased and my heart was beating really, really fast... I know I'll definitely remember the day I talked to the Queen."
