A man walks on ash spewed by the Tungurahua volcano after an eruption, in Banos in Ecuador. The Tungurahua volcano, which has been in an eruption process since 1999, erupted twice on Sunday 14 July, sending ash and pyroclastic material into the atmosphere.

Swan Upping is the annual census of the River Thames' swan population.
