The English team won this year's Egg Throwing Championships which were held in Lincolnshire at the weekend.

Teams from the Netherlands, Germany and even Japan took part.

Events included Egg Roulette - where contestants take turns smashing half a dozen eggs against their heads to find the raw one.

The main event though was the Egg Throwing competition.

This involves teams of two people throwing an egg from various distances.

Teams of two people get three turns at throwing and catching an egg from different distance.

The winners are the ones that don't drop it or smash it.

The losers, well, they end up with egg on their face - literally!

The English team won with a throw of 58 metres - that's about the width of a school football pitch.
