British runner Mo Farah has won the 5,000m race at the World Athletics Championships grabbing himself a spot in history.

He held on in a thrilling finish to add the 5,000m title to the 10,000m gold he won on Saturday.

Mo crossed the line in 13 minutes 26.99 seconds to claim his fifth major championship title.

The win means he is only the second man in history to complete an Olympic and world 'double-double' in the distance events.

He achieved this by winning in the 5,000m and 10,000m at the 2012 Olympics and winning both again at the World Athletics Championships.
