Magicians are complaining that their tricks are being copied by other conjurors "like never before".

It's all because of the internet, with people uploading videos of magic tricks online.

Some in the business are worried, because many magicians make their money through selling tricks they've invented to other people.

Copied 'move for move'

Someone who's been affected by this issue is Jeff McBride, one of the world's top magicians.

His most famous routine involves Jeff wearing many masks, taking the audience through the entire history of magic.

But one day, Jeff discovered he wasn't the only one performing this particular act.

He spotted a clip on YouTube of another magician from Thailand doing his entire routine on local TV - move for move!

Jeff got in touch with the Thai magician and they've now sorted things out.

Check out the video above to see how similar the routines were!

Fergus Flanagan

To help us find out more about this issue Newsround's Ore had a chat with CBBC's very own magician, Fergus Flanagan from 'Help! my Supply Teacher is Still Magic'.

Check out what he had to say in the video below.
