Tottenham kicked their way to victory against their north London rivals Arsenal 2-1, taking them to third place in the Premier League table.
Per Mertesacker's header went in off Gareth Bale to give Arsenal some hope... but Tottenham held on to win the match and take themselves to third place in the Premier League table.

Tottenham kicked their way to victory against their north London rivals Arsenal 2-1. Gareth Bale didn't disappoint his fans, scoring one of Spurs' goals in the game - he's scored more goals against Arsenal than any other Premier League team in his career so far.

And Tottenham's second goal came from Aaron Lennon to the crowds' delight.

It was a tough match to watch for the managers of both the teams. After the match Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger admitted his side would struggle to claim a top-four Premier League place after this defeat.
