Wildlife filmmakers are always trying out new techniques to get us closer to the animals.

New BBC documentary Penguins - Spy in the Huddle used penguin robots to get right inside the colony and get some amazing footage.

In order to get close to them, they used 50 special cameras disguised as rocks, eggs and penguins.

Wildlife producers John Downer and Geoff Bell showed Joe how they used the special Penguin-cams to make the programme.

Penguins - Spy in the Huddle is on Monday on BBC One at 9pm.
