Running up the Empire State Building

About 700 runners have taken the longer (and healthier) way to the top of the Empire State Building - by running up the 86 floors!

Two Australians were crowned male and female champions of the 1,576-step Empire State Building Run-Up race.

First-time men's winner Mark Bourne took 10 minutes 12 seconds to reach the summit.

Female champ Suzy Walsham did it in 12 minutes 5 seconds - snatching her fourth victory!
