Childline is joining forces with Facebook to tackle bullying after an increase in the number of calls the charity gets from bullied children.

Childline have been getting an average 87 calls a day from young people who are being bullied so this week they've started the Step Up: Stop Bullying campaign.

It wants to make people aware of the problem and the campaign includes an app that tells people who can help them if they or someone they know are being bullied.

Facebook, which has around 30 million users in the UK, says: "We believe in creating a culture of accountability where people report bullying and stand up for each other, and we also believe in using the power of friends to help stop bullying, whether it takes place in the school playground or online."
