Chelsea captain John Terry will have a hospital scan on a suspected knee injury later.
Terry was stretchered off the pitch after a collision with Liverpool's Luis Suarez in the teams' 1-1 draw on Sunday.
The Blues' manager, Roberto Di Matteo, says it's too early to know how serious the damage is to his captain's knee.
Terry, back after a four-match domestic ban, scored before being taken off.
Di Matteo added: "It was great to see him back and leading the team out and we just hope it is not a serious injury."
Chelsea were denied a win by a Luis Suarez header in the second half.
Di Matteo's team now sit three points behind Manchester United who are at the top of the Premier League.
