Prince Charles: "I'm so jet-lagged that I feel a few sausages short of a barbie"

Prince Charles and the Duchess of Cornwall made an unusual friend when they arrived in the Australian outback - a kangaroo!

Camilla met orphaned 12-month-old 'Ruby Blue' during a visit to a rural settlement in Longreach.

The roo, wrapped in a cloth bag (just like her mother's pouch) was cuddled by the Duchess.

"There's a first time for everything" - joked Camilla.

The Royal couple have already visited Papua New Guinea as part of the Queen's Diamond Jubilee tour.

During the next two weeks they will also visit New Zealand.
