More than 1,000 boats celebrated the Queen's 60-year reign by sailing down the River Thames.
One thousand boats took to the River Thames on Sunday to celebrate the Queen's Jubilee, with people from all around the world taking part.

The Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh arrived to huge cheers from the crowd who were excited to get a glimpse of her. She met the Chelsea Pensioners, who are retired members of the armed forces.

Meanwhile, people in boats were battling the rain and working hard rowing. A flotilla like this had not been seen on the River Thames for over 300 years.

William and Kate and the Duchess of Cornwall seemed to be having a good time. Not even the rain could dampen their spirits!

The boats had to sail down the river in a formation, making sure they were a boat's length apart from those in front of and behind them.

When the Royal barge passed under the famous Tower Bridge it turned round so the Royal Family could watch the rest of the flotilla sail past.

...because in typical British style it rained for most of the day! But it didn't stop the crowds turning out. An estimated one million people watched the boats make their way along the River Thames.

The Queen stood up the whole time waving to the people in boats as they passed her. The pageant ended with the London Philharmonic Orchestra playing Rule Britannia and the National Anthem.

Before setting sail on the royal barge, they set off in this launch boat. The Queen and Prince Philip stood up waving to the cheering crowds.
