The man behind Matilda and The BFG has been voted top children's author in an online survey of primary school teachers.
Harry Potter creator JK Rowling and The Gruffalo writer Julia Donaldson came joint second.
The Gruffalo was named best book by the 848 teachers polled by the Teachit Primary website.
Roald Dahl may not have topped the best book vote, but he had five books in the top 10 - Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, The Twits, Danny the Champion of the World, The BFG, and George's Marvellous Medicine.
