How fast can a robot run?

We know they're pretty fast in the wild but now a different kind of cheetah is on the scene.

A four-legged machine called Cheetah has just set a new land speed record for robots with legs.

The speedy gadget managed to do a zippy 18mph on a treadmill at a laboratory in Massachusetts in the US.

The last land speed record was set by a two-legged robot in 1989 who got up to a pretty impressive 13mph.
