Adele and Ed Sheeran were the stars of the show, as both went home with two prizes at last night's Brit Awards.

Adele's trophy cabinet will be busting at the seams, as she adds best Female and best Album to the six Grammy Awards she won last weekend in the US.

Ed performed his single 'Lego House' before winning best Breakthough Act and best Male.

After opening the show, Coldplay made history when they were announced best British group for a record third time.

The boys from One Direction won best single for 'What Makes You Beautiful', beating off competition from Adele, Ed Sheeran and Jessie J.

There were also performances from Bruno Mars, Rihanna and Olly Murs with Rizzle Kicks.

Adele performed her single 'Rolling in the Deep' to a cheering crowd - only her second live performance after surgery on her throat.

Scottish singer Emeli Sande won the Critics' Choice award. She said she'd put her Brit on top of her piano.

Her debut album 'Our Version Of Events' is currently at the top of the album charts.
