A new RSPCA centre is being built in Birmingham

Pets that have been dumped by their owners or treated cruelly need a lot of support and help.

Many of them end up in special animal centres where they can be taken care of, and the animal charity RSPCA has one in Birmingham.

But there's a problem - it's getting pretty old and needs a major makeover.

Building work has started on the new centre. Until it's complete, the animals will have to live in the old site.
