Could you live without your smartphone?

Experts reckon we're becoming a nation of smartphone lovers with more than half of teens who own one saying they are highly addicted to it.

Apparently some of us are using them so much that we've cut back on watching TV so we can spend more time playing on them.

So we want to know: if you've got a smartphone, do you use it all the time for playing games or chatting with your mates?

Maybe you haven't got a smartphone and think they're really overrated?

Whatever you think, we want to know!

"I am really addicted to my smart phone, I use it to watch stuff, play games, chat to my friends and for music. It can come in handy."

Hafsa, 12, Birmingham, England

"I don't have one but my dad does and he is always on it- at dinner, at work, he is always social networking! He won't let us play games on it so it really annoys everyone!"

Laura, 12, Leeds, England

"My dad has a smartphone and it's made his job so much easier, and now he dosen't get frustrated too much. The downside to smartphones is that they get addictive and you don't know what's actually happening on them sometimes."

Monika, 11, Hertford

"I haven't got a smartphone, but I think that they are addictive. My dad has a one and he uses it a lot."

Mohamed, 10, England

"I'm definitely addicted to my smartphone! I play games on it and use it to listen to music and text my friends!"

Samantha, 13, Wolverhampton, England

"I have a smartphone, however I'm not at all addicted to it! The main reason is being because they cost to much to run if they're over used."

Joe, 13, Stoke-on-Trent

"I don't even have a phone yet. I'm not allowed one till year seven but I really want one because they are cool."

Lucy, 10, Shropshire, England

"I had a smartphone and I used it lots but then my one-year-old brother put it in the bin. I think that it was a good thing because I spent far to much time on it which is not good."

Pippa, 13, Clackmannanshire, Scotland

"I haven't got a smartphone but I think they're really overrated because my schoolmates are always playing smartphone wherever and whenever they like. They use it while the teacher is still in the class."

Claudia, 13, Jakarta, Indonesia

"My dad has a smartphone and he's constantly watching stuff on it. I can understand people can get addicted but they should also spend time on the things they actually like. I mean, there's no need for a REALLY fancy phone for kids unless their parents spoil them. Not even for ADULTS!"

Asma, 11, London, England

"Yes, because they are so handy."

Harry, 8, Portsmouth, England

"I'm definitely addicted to my smartphone! It is so good I can listen too music and text my friends, I can go on the web! I can go on everything, even though its a bit fancy and I don't really need it. I use it a lot for texting and calling people!"

Holly, 12, Manchester, England

"I think the smartphone is a sensational device. I've got one myself but I limit my time."

Ronaldo, 12, London, England

"I think we should be able to play on our smartphones but not too much because you might run out of batteries and your parents will have to pay even more each month."

Idhil, 9, London, England

"I'm not addicted to smartphones as I'm not allowed one. I do think there cool and not overrated though."

Charlotte, 10, Hereford, England

"I love my smartphone! It's really addictive, sometimes too addictive. I use mine for chatting with my mates and music. I don't think it's overrated, it's the best phone I've ever had!"

Sarah, 12, Great Yarmouth, England

"I don't have a smartphone because I think the only point people have them is for the games and the apps. A phone is for contacting people, so you don't need a fancy one."

Gemma, 11, London, England
