In pictures: Floods in Swat valley, Pakistan
Floods in northern Pakistan's Swat valley region have destroyed roads and homes, leaving communities without food and shelter. This is what remains of the bridge which connected Saidu Sharif and Mingora, two of the major settlements in Swat region.
In the town of Maidan, more than 50 houses were washed away by flood waters. Many people here have no shelter now.
The main road leading from Maidan to Swat has also been destroyed, causing problems with food supply.
Victims of the floods have to walk for hours to reach the nearest food collection stations.
...and when they finally arrive, they queue for hours. Some say their families have not eaten for days.
The main bridge in Malakand region was washed away by the floods, cutting a crucial link between upper and lower Dir. The local administration has built an emergency pedestrian bridge in its place.
Residents of Dir wait for hours to cross the fragile pedestrian bridge, carrying food for family members who are stuck in the flood affected areas. (Pictures: Hafiz Chachar, BBC Hindi)
