Boy, 14, who died from Jersey sand dune injuries named

A 14-year-old boy who died from injuries he suffered on sand dunes in Jersey has been named.

Police were called to St Brelade at 17:56 GMT on Friday, where police said Eoin Corcoran had been with a friend who witnessed the incident.

It is not yet known how Eoin was injured, and police are continuing to investigate the circumstances.

His death is not being treated as suspicious and his family has been notified, police said.

Les Quennavais school, where Eoin was a pupil, opened on Sunday to offer support to students.
