St Aubin boatyard blaze: Man released on bail

A man arrested on suspicion of arson after a large fire destroyed a Jersey boatyard has been released on police bail.

The 63-year-old, who has not been named, was arrested on Wednesday.

Residents in St Aubin were forced to flee their homes and nearly 20 firefighters were involved in putting out the fire, which started just before 05:00 GMT on Monday.

Boating firm Gallichan Marine's premises were destroyed in the blaze.

The investigation, by the States of Jersey Police, continues.
