Guernsey airline to run Zurich charter route to Jersey

The principal Swiss tour operator to the Channel Islands has confirmed a Guernsey-based airline will run its summer charter flight service from Zurich to Jersey.

Rob Veron, managing director of Blue Islands airline, said: "We are delighted to able to once again partner with Rolf Meier Reisen."

Weekly flights will run from May to September in 2016.

Blue Islands already operates routes from the Islands to the UK and Europe.

Mr Veron said that inbound summer charter services was "an essential part of our visitor economy" and he hoped to see many more Swiss visitors in the Channel Islands next year.
