Jersey police crash officer in court

A police officer who overturned his patrol car has appeared at Jersey's Magistrates' Court accused of driving without due care and attention.

James Andrew Jenkinson, 38, appeared before Assistant Magistrate Peter Harris and asked for time to get further legal advice.

PC Jenkinson was hospitalised after the crash on La Grande Route de la Cote, in St Clement, at 05:30 BST on 20 May.

His case was adjourned until Thursday 28 August.
